Barn Wedding Styling
Well, hello! It’s been a while since I posted a blog post on here! In fact, it’s been over 6 months since I last photographed a wedding entirely. What a year 2020 has been.
I won’t go into detail on what my 2020 has entailed, but what I will say is since we began opening back up in July I’ve been nothing short of BUSY! It was weird going from 3 months of sitting on the sofa, watching a bit too much Netflix and even getting a bit of a Warzone addiction on the PS4 (oops!) to now having engagement shoots every few days and jam-packed weekends. What kicked it all off though, was this ‘styled shoot’ at a beautiful Northamptonshire Barn.
You’ll know from my portfolio or if you’ve booked me for your day, that I’m not typically a ‘posed’ kind of photographer. I don’t ‘style’ things, do fancy flat lays or those macro detail shots! I’m all about the moments, people, connection! Doing a shoot entirely without human beings was STRANGE, but never the less I was more than happy to do this shoot for Carmel and Ali when they asked to showcase what their venue can do! If you’re looking for some barn inspiration, this shoot had trestle tables, cross back chairs, and some beautiful stationery from Urzanmyne!
This wonderful venue, since posting this blog post, has sadly closed its doors. We’re absolutely gutted, but still wanted to share this beautiful shoot to showcase some barn wedding inspo! The suppliers involved are all linked at the bottom of this post, do check them out and see how they may be able to help with your day.
