ERYN AND ROB
Eryn and Rob got married this January at the ever-popular Dodmoor House, which is an all-in-one barn venue in Northamptonshire. I’m at Dodmoor House the most out of any venue this year, including 4 times over the next 5 weeks! It was a lovely day with a lovely family, including their gorgeous dog Millie. (Who was obviously my favourite guest of the day and made an amazing flower girl) This was a full day wedding from bridal prep at home to a sparkler arch in the evening. It was a great wedding to kick off 2020 and I’m looking forward to going back there very soon. Please enjoy some highlights from their day!
Eryn got ready at her Mums home with her Mum, Bridesmaids and younger family members. There was both a MUA and hair stylist for everyone to get ready for the day ahead, joined with some cake sticks they made the night before. (Forget pineapple and cheese, it’s all about cookie dough and brownies now!) We then headed to Dodmoor House for the remainder of prep where everyone got into their dresses. Rob got ready off-site before arriving at Dodmoor House with Millie the dog and his groomsmen.
Guests arrived in Dodmoor House’ courtyard to meet Rob and his groomsmen, before taking their seats in the ceremony room. The ceremony included Millie the dog waiting for Eryn patiently at the front, Mum walking Eryn down the aisle and some beautiful readings from three guests. It’s not all that common for me to have ceremonies with readings, but I had one on my own wedding day, so I always love hearing what couples choose when they include them in their day. It was also lovely to have a guest Registrar from Oxfordshire’s council (despite a Northamptonshire venue). This was arranged as Eryn and Rob knew them personally, so it made their day even more special.
DRINKS RECEPTION & EVENING
The drinks reception was just outside of the ceremony room in the courtyard. Something I love about Dodmoor House is how close everything is to each other. The courtyard is surrounded by the ceremony room, the reception barn and the bridal suite all in a grid, so you don’t have to go far throughout the day. The courtyard steps are also great for a big group shot or a confetti photo if you choose to have one on your day. Drinks were enjoyed, the meal was eaten after the couple session with Millie the Dog before we finished the night with a sparkler arch. Shout out to Dodmoor House for making the sparkler arch the easiest and most organised arch EVER!
Thanks to Eryn and Rob for having me capture their wedding day and to Dodmoor House for having us! Looking for a Dodmoor House Wedding Photographer for your upcoming wedding? I’m there throughout 2020 and would love to head back a few more times in 2021! If you think I may be the photographer for you, whether at this venue or another in Northamptonshire, just message me your wedding date!
