DANNI AND KEM
‘The photos we have are more than I could have ever imagined’ – Danni
Danni and Kem were my penultimate wedding at Dodmoor House this year, a venue I have grown to love over the past months of 2020! From vegan cakes to a Turkish Tapas style meal, this day was about their family and friends coming together to celebrate their love – exactly what a wedding should be! Kyle and I loved being a part of it and couldn’t wish Danni and Kem a happier future together. If you’ve found this post whilst looking for a Dodmoor House wedding photographer, I’d love to hear about your plans. Please enjoy some highlights from their big day!
I have attended a lot of weddings through my job, but this is by far the most emotional ceremony I have had the pleasure of photographing. From Danni’s Dad seeing her for the first time to the vows they each wrote. It was a wonderfully personal ceremony without a dry eye in the room. After the ceremony, drinks were enjoyed, confetti was thrown and photos were taken. It was such a friendly crowd where everyone was talking to everyone – two families became one and we were there to capture it.
THE WEDDING RECEPTION
After the drinks reception and photos were done, it was time to head to the main barn for the evening. Danni and Kem chose to have the barn decorated with giant balloons which looked incredible for their first dance. I absolutely loved the decor with the gypsophila and fairy lights too. For food, they chose a Turkish tapas-style meal, followed by an emotional best man speech. Their cakes were all vegan, with a choice of four so every guest was covered!
HERE’S WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY ABOUT ME PHOTOGRAPHING THEIR DAY:
‘Sophie was simply amazing from the start of the process when we were trying to select a photographer for our wedding to all the questions we had. The preparation she puts in to make sure she gets all the shots we wanted was superb.
Sophie and Kyle, I’m sure, are ghosts. Apart from the group shots I barely saw them yet the photos we have are more stunning than I could ever imagine. Her unique casual style was what we wanted, capturing people laughing and enjoying the day, not at all posed, just the way we saw our family and friends.
We honestly cannot praise them or thank them both enough, our day was perfect and we have all the beautiful photos to remember it.’
Thank you so much to Danni and Kem for being one of the loveliest couples I’ve ever photographed. We loved capturing your special day. If you are looking for a Dodmoor House Wedding Photographer, I’d love to head back there soon! If you think I may be the photographer for you, whether at this venue or another in Northamptonshire, just message me your wedding date!
