Almost 2 years ago in May 2017 myself and my partner, Kyle, were on a trip in our van-turned-campervan to Disneyland Paris. Our 4 year anniversary was midway through our holiday and of course something worth celebrating. 4 years of putting up with each other’s flaws and loving one anothers best bits. It also happened to be a time where Kyle decided he wanted to get married and proposed over breakfast. Fast forward to 2019, our wedding is less than 2 months away and we can’t believe how quick time has flown.
Last month we had our engagement shoot. Being a photographer myself, I don’t often find myself on the other side of the lens and It’s fair to say I was dreading it. It’s funny because I tell all of my couples not to worry at all when it comes to the fear of having your photo taken, yet I had a huge amount of nerves heading to the shoot. Afterwards, all I could say was ‘that wasn’t that bad at all!’ and I honestly really loved the experience, so much so, I cannot wait for the wedding day to come around and have some taken again.
You may have noticed there have been little-to-no weddings updated on my social media platforms so far this year, mostly because I really wanted to have the time to experience (and not stress about) the lead up to May. Wedding planning has been simply AMAZING and I cannot wait for our special day to come around. I feel so lucky to have found my soulmate, plus, to be able to relate even more to every couple I have the opportunity to work with is such a fantastic thing. I hope I can use my own experience to assist you all in any way I can, but in the meantime, I wanted to share my engagement session with you. Full credit to my wedding photographer Rosie who will be capturing my wedding day this May. She has been simply wonderful throughout – https://www.rosiekelly.co.uk/ ♡♡
