Although we love discovering new wedding venues each season, it’s always nice to return to familiar places we’ve loved shooting at before. Especially when it’s a venue we are super happy to be an official recommended supplier at, like Wood Farm at Everdon in Northamptonshire!
Nicole and Dan planned a relaxed day with the most incredible florals from Grace Florals. Whenever we see Romae involved in a wedding, we’re always so excited to see what she creates! They chose an orange and green colour palette was included in everything from the decor to the stationery to the cake.
Nicole chose to get ready at Staverton Hall where I joined for bridal prep. I always ask my couples to leave any items they’d like photographing in the morning to one side for my arrival and Nicole smashed her selection. I do love a flat lay and this is without a doubt one of my all time favourites!
I really recommend Staverton Hall Bed and Breakfast as a place to get ready for if you’re getting married at any of the South Northamptonshire wedding venues (it’s barn weddings galore in this area of the country!) It’s such a lovely setting and offers so much more room for you and all of your wedding party in comparison to a chain hotel.
Kyle met Dan at the venue as the guests began to arrive and button holes went on. The ceremony took place upstairs in the most iconic room a Northampton venue has to offer, with its triangle window that is truly a natural light photographers dream! It does mean that the couple are silhouetted from the back of the room where Kyle shoots from, but if you just embrace that style – we love it!
After the ceremony, we headed outside for garden games, drinks and a few group photos. There was heart glasses, an ice cream van and dogs. What more could you ask for? As documentary wedding photographers, this is our time for alllllll the candids! These moments of your favourite people chatting, laughing and celebrating alongside you make up a huge portion of our wedding galleries.
The room was then all changed over ready for the sit down meal. More orange toned florals, napkins and signage. Some of our engagement shoot photos were also on display. We always love seeing the pre-wedding photos feature somewhere on the big day! Some emotional speeches followed, before we headed back outside for couple photos, the evening drinks reception and into the lower barn for the first dance.
This was such an awesome day to capture, so please enjoy some wedding photography highlights from their day. If you’re looking for a Wood Farm wedding photographer, we’d love to hear from you!
